Next year is almost upon us, many families will already be looking at possible holiday destinations for 2010 and whilst it used to be the case that families looked for the best deals on foreign holiday resorts these days more families are choosing the many resorts that we have here in the UK. Next year is thought to be another busy year for the family holiday parks and the surrounding tourist businesses and so many of them are already taking bookings and having to expand to cope with demand.
Why has holidaying in the UK become so popular then? Well obviously the current financial crisis has meant many people are finding they have less to spend on luxuries like holidays but the fact that airlines are becoming more and more expensive as well as stressful to deal with (baggage allowance, additional security measures, delays and cancellations) is another major factor. In fact many families are finding that by holidaying here in the UK they are able to relax and enjoy their time off more as opposed to the hassle of airports and flying.
It is obviously simpler and quicker to travel to one of the many UK holiday resorts especially along the coastline and even choosing to go last minute once you have heard there’s meant to be good weather it is much easier and more likely that you’ll be able to get away with the family. The weather in the UK is actually decent enough during summer and late spring these days for many families to not even miss the Spanish sun that they were used to.

The UK holiday parks know full well that children and adults want to be entertained and have fun no matter what the weather and so they have a good balance of indoor and outdoor activities that can keep you entertained unlike some foreign holiday resorts where the fun and games end as soon as the rain comes and you are ushered indoors to wait it out.
The draw of UK holidays has seen many UK families choose the UK this year and interest is so high that some resorts are having to build extra accommodation and investing in new activities and shows for next year.
